It is very unfortunate to see that political leaders have been assassinated by naxals. One cannot support this kind of act even the group or person having sympathy with naxals. In democracy everything should be demanded in democratic way, if a person or group is unsatisfied he/she has right to protest. But violence cannot be allowed or justified in any way. It also cannot be ruled out that naxals are not given an opportunity in development of country, they are struggling for their survival, they are not included in mainstream. Therefore, they have right to protest. Now, as they have started this kind of acts, they are deviated from the issues for which it is organized. This kind of acts will harm themselves. Previously, few social activists had sympathy with them, but now it seems naxals are loosing their support too and they are now being called as terrorist. Considering them as terrorist, it would be easy for government to take strong action against them including the use of army. Then, government will not be in pressure to have dialogue with them. Mentors of naxals should rethink and have open discussion with government this is the only way to get success for their welfare.
On the other hand, government should come out from its denial mode and take this attack as an opportunity to take on the situation. In my view, government is more responsible for this. Government should make a strong stand and make effective and result oriented policies. Government comes in action when this kind of attacks happens. Why do we wait for this to happen? I hope, now government will respond.
