Happy New Year 2012

Happy New Year to all of you.....

Anna Ji again in action...

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Thanks Anna Ji, We Love You :):)

This is a great opportunity for people of India in the form of Anna Hazare. If this chance would be missed out, then it would be very difficult to raise most awaited issue again. People of India have to show their commitment for Janlokpal bill until it is be put on floor of parliament. And, most important and actually the time of examination is the role of our elected representatives in parliament. People of India do not want less than the Janlokpal bill and then it’s execution. Some learned scholars are debating against this bill by giving their own logic. I think on every topic there may be some conflicts among scholars and this should be welcomed because this makes democracy stronger. I would like to refer a well said proverb that for a good cause if you need to lie then you should without thinking more, similarly method of Anna Hazare may be wrong in others views but it is for a good cause and nation need it. We should support this bill at any cost.

We want Jan Lokpal....

Freedom: The way I see it ...

On the eve of sixty-fifth year of India’s Independence, eminent scriptwriters Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar voice their thoughts on freedom, how much of that has been achieved and how far we still have to go…

‘Honesty starts from our conscience’ Salim Khan

We have only got the freedom to breathe. We can’t talk, we can’t demand. It is a very selective democracy.

It was after so many sacrifices, so many lives laid down and so many tragedies that India got its freedom. The individuals who sacrificed selflessly for India had a vision for post-independence India. But what happened? Did we get freedom from poverty? Did we get freedom from hatred? Can all the people of India manage to get at least two square meals a day?

Forget communal harmony between two religions, today there are caste wars and daughters are killed by their parents. No political party says what they will do for the country, instead they expose scams of the other party during elections for their own gain. Will corruption stop when the Lokpal bill comes into existence? Will that police c o n s t ab l e, who stands at the other end of the ‘No Entry’ sign give up his chance of taking home 2,500 to 3,000 in bribes every day? We give bribes even to get our legal and legitimate work done. Even I have succumbed to that.

Honesty starts from our conscience. It is our mother who tells us ‘don’t pick it up, give it back’. But mothers these days are seen only on the silver-screen not at home. Mothers are busy at work or found in clubs. The family is the first school and a mother is the first teacher. But that doesn’t happen today. Freedom doesn’t merely mean driving the British out and hoisting our flag. Law and order, governance, administration was much better in the British period. I was 12-ye a r s - o l d when we got our freedom and I have exper i e n c e d those days. Today, people have the freedom to announce Bharat bandh, they have the freedom to burn buses, freedom to block roads.

‘We have to be free of biases’ - Javed Akhtar

Are we really free? I am afraid it can’t be answered in a yes or a no, because we as a society, as a nation, are rather paradoxical.

There are countries where there is no freedom, you cannot write anything, you cannot say anything, you cannot protest against the establishment. We are somewhere in between. I can write articles against the establishment, I can write about various cultures, sub-cultures, communities. I can dissent on the most sensitive topic, but I can’t do the same in a movie. That will be banned. That will be censored. The people who matter are willing to give the common man freedom up to a point where it does not challenge the status quo. And when it comes to that, there is no freedom.

But we should not be pessimistic. Since we have accepted the basic norm of freedom, we have got our basic morality right. In practice, we have to struggle and get complete and real freedom. However, this ideal form of freedom is not possible without some kind of economic justice in the society.

What is freedom to me? That I be allowed to live with all my identities. I don’t believe in a singular identity as it can be dangerous.

Everybody should be free to protect his or her dignity. I should be free to make choices — the kind of job I want, where I live, who I marry…Our law allows us but society is not very liberal, to put it mildly.

A lot of freedom is taken away from an individual not from law enforcement agencies but from the civil society, which itself cries for freedom. It’s a contradiction. We as individuals have to be free of biases, prejudices, opportunism, corruption and only then we can have acompletely free society.

Is this love ????

something special
somewhat near
some strange feeling is there
some distances, some nearness
some loneliness is smiled
what intoxication is this? What believe is this?
may be this is love, this is love may be
what glory is this? What await is this?
may be this is love, this is love may be
the words are silent and lost in intoxication
only the eyesight is understanding this polite conversation
my desire has taken a lovely turn
what intoxication is this? What believe is this?
may be this is love, this is love may be
there is no confession, no denial
may be this is love, this is love may be
what to say, there is no interference of mine
heart has seen someone with face of heart
i had such condition with my heart
what kind of defeat is this, which i am feeling like victory
why there is fever, why this restlessness is
may be this is love, this is love may be
i am feeling magic, there is no control
may be this is love, this is love may be

Anna Hazare and his fight for the Lokpal Bill

1. Who is Anna Hazare?
An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War

2. What's so special about him?
He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra
3. So what? This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.
In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.

4. Ok,...?
This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.

5. Really, what is he fighting for?
He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.
6. How that can be possible?
He is advocating for a Bil, The Lok Pal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.

8. It's an entirely new thing right..?
In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).

7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?
The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.
Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the LOK PAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?
A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.

9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?
Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.
Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.

10. Ok, got it. What can I do?
At least we can spread the message. How?
Putting status message, links, video, changing profile pics.
At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India.
At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.
At least we can pray for his good health.

Spread the above word to the entire world.

This is very good news for Indian people. This is not only a win of Anna ji but people of India and democracy. It again proves the Gandhian thought (non-violence). Anna ji is Living Gandhi...

Shahid Afridi lost his mind

Pakistani cricket captain Shahid Afridi has said much about Indian hearts. And, saying this, he has cleared how much mature he is! It shows mentality of silly Pakistanis. A player take his game like a game only, in which one wins and simultaneously one looses but his comment about Indian media and Indian shows Shahid Afridi has lost his mental balance. He needs to take rest and do meditation to recover.

Indians do not need to prove before him about their thinking. It was Indian Prime Minister who called Mr. Gilani to see Indo-Pak cricket match. Cricket was used as a plateform to make situations normal between India and Pak. Before this too, Atal Bihari Vajpayee went to Pakistan and gave a message of peace but, in reverse Pakistan gave us Kargil. This is Pakistani thinking. They do not need to suggest us about our thinking. Whole world know them. When we were enjoying cricket, same day there was a bomb attack in Pakistan. Every one will condemn it. This situation was created by Pakistan itself. Actually, there teaching is need to be improved. They should add modern education in their schools apart from Jihadi educations.

Afridi should shut his mouth.. atleast at this time when two countries has started dialogue.

A Mahatma Announces Fast Unto Death Against Corruption | Anna Hazare

Anna Hazare has given an ultimatum to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to enact stringent anti-corruption law – the peoples “Jan Lokpal Bill”! Jail to the corrupt must happen! We have been betrayed by those that are leading us!

When & Where?

From 5th April at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

Who is Anna Hazare?

A soldier, lone survivor in his unit in 1965 Indo-Pak war, Anna dedicated his life to the well-being of society. A bachelor, an ascetic, he has no possessions, no bank balance and lives in a temple. He is a living Mahatma Gandhi!

In Maharashtra, Anna has single handedly transformed barren and dry regions into green and food surplus areas. He has fasted unto death on several earlier occasions. He forced the Maharashtra government to dismiss the corrupt - 6 ministers and 400 officers. Due to his fast, the govt enacted the Maharashtra RTI Act. In 2006, when government of India tried to amend the Central RTI Act, he again went on an indefinite fast and forced the Indian government not to amend RTI Act.

Leaders, organizations and the common man from across India will be with him. This is a do or die moment – let us make it happen!

Across India, join Swami Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Swami Agnivesh, Arch Bishop Vincent Concessao, Mahmood A Madani, Kiran Bedi, J M Lyngdoh, Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan, Arvind Kejriwal, Mufti Shamoom Qasmi, Mallika Sarabhai, Arun Bhatia, Sunita Godara, All India Bank Employees Federation, PAN IIT Alumni Association, Common Cause and many other prominent organizations and leaders, as India comes out on the streets! 100+ CITIES WILL RALLY BEHIND ANNA!

This is a defining moment for India that can give our children a better future! Let us unite and stand by him! Thousands will be there to support him. Will you be there?

Anna’s appeal to the people:

When I sit on fast from 5 April, I urge my fellow countrymen to

  • Join me in fasting for one, two, three or whatever number of days you can comfortably fast.

  • Along with fast, please pray to God (whoever you believe in) for better and corruption free India. Collective prayers from all the people of India would definitely have a huge impact.

  • Write an impassioned plea to our Prime Minister that we look upon him to pass “Jan Lokpal Bill”, else we will be compelled not to vote for his party in next elections.

  • Remain calm and peaceful and develop the courage to go to jail, if required, in this next freedom movement.

If possible, come and stay with Anna at Jantar Mantar for a few days from April 5th.

Salient features of Jan Lokpal Bill

Drafted by Justice Santosh Hegde, Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal, this Bill has been refined on the basis of feedback received from public on website and after series of public consultations. It has also been vetted by and is supported by Shanti Bhushan, J M Lyngdoh, Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare etc. It was sent to the PM and all CMs on 1st December. However, there is no response.

  1. An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up

  2. Like Supreme Court and Election Commission, they will be completely independent of the governments. No minister or bureaucrat will be able to influence their investigations.

  3. Cases against corrupt people will not linger on for years anymore: Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years.

  4. The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction.

  5. How will it help a common citizen: If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant.

  6. So, you could approach Lokpal if your ration card or passport or voter card is not being made or if police is not registering your case or any other work is not being done in prescribed time. Lokpal will have to get it done in a month’s time. You could also report any case of corruption to Lokpal like ration being siphoned off, poor quality roads been constructed or panchayat funds being siphoned off. Lokpal will have to complete its investigations in a year, trial will be over in next one year and the guilty will go to jail within two years.

  7. But won’t the government appoint corrupt and weak people as Lokpal members? That won’t be possible because its members will be selected by judges, citizens and constitutional authorities and not by politicians, through a completely transparent and participatory process.

  8. What if some officer in Lokpal becomes corrupt? The entire functioning of Lokpal/ Lokayukta will be completely transparent. Any complaint against any officer of Lokpal shall be investigated and the officer dismissed within two months.

  9. What will happen to existing anti-corruption agencies? CVC, departmental vigilance and anti-corruption branch of CBI will be merged into Lokpal. Lokpal will have complete powers and machinery to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.

JAN LOKPAL BILL will act as deterrent and instill fear against corruption

(This movement is neither affiliated nor aligned to any political party)

Corruption in India

Corruption Deadly Disease

Another hope in Aarushi murder mystery

Court did not accept closure report of CBI for one of the most mysterious Aarushi murder case. It raises another hope that Aarushi will get justice. It does not matter whoever has/have done it. Aarushi's mother said that it is injustice to her as her name is included in further investigations, it would be clear later but at least it is good for Aarushi.

Kashmir Beauty in Incredible India

Self Determination in Kashmir ?? Is it not there ??

I heard that in Pakistan "Kashmir Day" is celebrated and there is national holiday. Pakistani ask "Self Determination" in Kashmir. Why do they not see their situation ? They do not have self determination in Pakistan, how can they talk on Kashmir ? A "General" comes and thrashes the so called democratic government whenever he wants. Before talking on Kashmir, they should learn from Egypt to establish a democratic and fundamental rights for themselves. Self determination already exists in Kashmir.

As, if I talk about Kashmir, there is already a democratic government working, elected by people of Kashmir. Pakistani often say that they have doubt about election in Kashmir whether it is transparent or not. If it would not transparent then Omar Abdullah would never be chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir after Mehbooba Muft and Ghulam Nabi Azad (i.e. change in standing government). 60% Kashmiri have given their mandate in last assembly election that shows they have faith in Indian constitution. Few Pakistan projected separatist groups do not represent Kashmir. They are supported by ISI and Lashkar-e-Toiba and so they are terrorist. They are misguiding Kashmiri youth and ruining their future. If separatists really represent Kashmir and have dare to show their strength they should take part in elections and nominate their candidates.

And finally, I appeal to Kashmiri youth please do not spoil your future, you are more safe in India as compare to Pakistan. What kind of peace will Pakistan give to you ? Just see the situation of Pakistan in political level or economic level and most important "the peace" that you are demanding. Take an example of ICC World Cup 2011, it is to be played in Indian subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) but not in Pakistan, why ?? If Pakistan itself is not safe then how can it talks about peace in Kashmir ?? I would say "Sharm magar unko aati nahi (they don't feel ashamed)". Do not give your life to these opportunistic separatists as they have sent their kids in foreign universities for better education. Why do not they bring their sons to fight for you ??? Answer is simple, everybody knows it. Don't give your strength in their hand to play. Use your strength for you and your future, help Kashmir to develop as other states of India. Join mainstream and be part of Superpower India.

Unite against corruption
