Kanhaiya Kumar was confined within the boundary of JNU before he was arrested. After the anti-national slogans raised in JNU (we still don't know who were those hooligans, but it was raised that everyone is admitting), he has become a crusader against casteism, manuwaad etc. What is the link between the incident for which he was arrested and the iconic role that he was being named (crusader as I said)? What is his contribution against poverty, casteism etc. I am not telling that he doesn't have that capacity but it's too early to be portrayed him as an icon. Right now he is just an student leader like many others in country.
Court didn't give him clean chit - he is on 6 months interim bail. We still don't know if he was involved or not - let the court decide. But we have to be careful the way we are portraying him now. If we start considering every accused as martyr based on his speech out of the jail, then what's the role of courts in our country. Many people who are involved in heinous crime can give very nice speech - are you ready to judge them based on their speeches. Then why do people question Narendra Modi for Gujarat riot even courts let him to go, he is also a good orator.
I wish that Kanhaiya come out with clean chit - but if in case he could not by court then what will you say? We know Nitish Kumar's U-turn after Ishrat Jahan as a 'Bihar ki Beti' case.
