Arvind Kejriwal of India Against Corruption sets to expose another big head

Arvind Kejriwal is almost set to expose another corruption, which will definitely be proof-based as his records in previous cases. Now the question is who will be that lucky politician (because after that he/she will be eligible for ministerial posts.). India's eyes will be on Arvind and India Against Corruption today. Eagerly waiting for his press conference.

Nitin Gadkari, another Bangaru Laxman of BJP

Bangaru Laxman, former BJP President is currently in darkness. It seems that Nitin Gadkari is another Bangaru Laxman. He was an unknown face (except in Maharashtra) before being the President of BJP. As fast he came to publicity as BJP President, he seems to go back in same speed. This shows that anyone who lives public life should have a clear and transparent background. Their character should be a reference for others, specially the followers. One could earn money but not character.

Shameless Politicians....

I am badly disappointed with Indian politicians. They do not have moral value left even in fraction in them, I am surprised how do they face the public and simultaneously how do public (we the Indian) trust them. It's we, who do not react. We have to ask question to them, make them answerable to the public. They can not do whatever they want to do, they can not be escaped. We all are bound with same law, but why politicians are not being investigated as in case with common people. If government is not doing investigations, it does not have moral to rule the nation.

Dear Indian Citizen, it is the time to show your value and your power to these political terrorist.

"Jab tak aap uthoge nahi ye aise hi humein besharmi se lootate rahenge."

Please, awake for our country....

Adieu to Yash Chopra Ji

Legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra, also known as the ‘king of romance’, who succumbed to dengue and multiple organ failure on Sunday evening, has been cremated.

He was the iconic personality of Indian Cinema. Chopra began his career as an assistant director to I.S. Johar and his elder brother, B.R. Chopra. He made his directorial debut with Dhool Ka Phool in 1959, a melodrama about illegitimacy and followed it with the hard-hitting social drama Dharmputra (1961). Encouraged by the success of both films, the Chopra brothers made several more movies together during the late fifties and sixties. Chopra then rose to prominence after the commercially and critically successful drama, Waqt (1965), which pioneered the concept of multi-starters in Bollywood.

He can not be replaced in any way by anyone. His place can not be filled. I will always miss him, and he will be alive through his cinemas. God rest your soul in peace...

Jan Lokpal and Corruption Free India : Agitation to be launched in January 2013 From Gandhi Maidan, Patna (Bihar) in January 2013

The preparations to launch a nation-wide movement for Jan Lokpal and Corruption Free India are at finishing stage, organizing the karykartas all over India is an important task at this juncture which is being achieved using latest information technology tools. Preparations are going ahead at a great pace and with enthusiasm.

Politicians has made politics a rotten egg

Every day we came to know a new scam. Corruptions confronting the country. Public has no choice except watching idle all these issues. Now, situation has become worse like rotten egg. Corrupt politicians has made politics a rotten egg and its bad smell made the politics untouchable. Youth are losing their interest in politics, which is not a good sign for our democracy.

Indian politics needs a systemic surgery, but it is very difficult in current situations. Every party has some honest politicians, they should come in front and play the significant role for a better democracy. Judicial reforms are very important and much needed. It takes a long time for a judgment, which becomes insignificant by the time. Therefore, no one worries about court and punishment. Criminals or corrupt politicians hide themselves behind the slow judicial system. A trial should not take more than 9-10 months, it should be made fast. Next, an independent investigation agency is inevitable, which should not be in influence of government; then only judicial system can work fast and it will help in true judgment.

How does this system work, it can be understood just by the case of Mr. Ashok Khemka (IAS of Hariyana cadre), who cancelled Robert Vadra and DLF deals. If this deal was under suspicion, why this should not be cancelled? Despite an investigation of this deal, Mr. Khemka's decision is being brought in scanner. There must be an investigation of both sides. Why should only Khemka's decision be investigated? Besides his decision, the deal should also be investigated. Being son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra doesn't have license to loot public money. If he is guilty, he should be in jail.

Salman Khurshid is questioned by Deepak Sharma as Amarish Puri by Anil Kapoor in Nayak

I was watching press conference of Salman Khurshid, Union Law Minister today. It reminded me a glimpse of "Nayak, a Hindi movie" when Amarish Puri was being questioned by Anil Kapoor, and the reaction of Amarish Puri and his political sycophants.

Deepak Sharma
Here, Deepak Sharma of "AajTak" was in the role of Anil Kapoor and Salman Khurshid as Amarish Puri. Today, a lawyer defended himself with poor and tailored facts. He doesn't hesitate even in using of a poor person to hide his sins. He was on back foot, and used unconstitutional words to media personnel and threatened them. Unlikely in case of Robert Vadra where cabinet ministers were competing each other to defend their DAMAD Ji, there were no UPA minister to support Mr. Salman Khurshid.

I salute today's hero Deepak Sharma, and hoping that media will continue with their role as crusaders.

Robert Vadra, a legal terrorist?

Robert Vadra is allegedly involved in another land scam. Now it is land that had been allotted to "Dalits", and it could be sold only to a Dalit only, but Robert Vadra bought it. Is he a Dalit? A clear indication of forcefully acquired  land. Sonia and her family is acting like legal terrorist.

Sonia Gandhi
Robert Vadra
Salman Khurshhed

Salman Khursheed has digested crores of rupees in the name of trust that serves for physically handicapped people.

Same Congress that came in power with "Congress ka hath aam aadmi k sath", but this is the real face of Congress, whose hand is in pocket of Dalits and handicapped people.

Shame on us, if Congress was being successful in getting this much of vote in Uttarakhand polls (though people rejected in overall).

Skewed immunological balance between Th17 (CD4(+)IL17A (+)) and Treg (CD4 (+)CD25 (+)FOXP3 (+)) cells in human oral squamous cell carcinoma.

I'm very happy to share my publication on Th17 and Treg cells (PMID: 22956260).

Abstract

BACKGROUND:

Several studies have documented modulation of Th17 and T regulatory (Treg) cells in various human malignancies which may vary with the type and extent of the disease. However, such data in patients with oral cancer is scarce and hence the current study was designed to elaborate the immunological balance between these two T cell subsets in oral cancer.

METHODS AND RESULTS:

We analyzed various T cell subsets in the peripheral blood of 45 oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients and 40 healthy volunteers. We found that, compared with the healthy controls, patients had a significantly (p < 0.0001) higher proportion of both Th17 (CD4(+)IL17A(+)) and Treg (CD4(+)CD25(+)FOXP3(+)) cells, which further showed a reciprocal balance in relation to clinico-pathological parameters in patients. We also detected a circulating CD8(+) subset of these cells in both patients and healthy controls, although the difference between the two groups was statistically insignificant. Higher frequencies of Th17 cells were found in patients with early stages and without lymph node involvement, while an increased prevalence of Tregs was associated with higher clinical stages and lymph node involvement. Moreover, Th17 cells were quantitatively and positively correlated to CD4(+)T and CD8(+)T cells and inversely correlated with Tregs. Contrarily, Tregs showed a negative association with CD4(+)T and CD8(+)T cells.

CONCLUSIONS:

Our results suggest an increase in Th17/Tregs ratio in early stages and a decrease in this ratio in higher stages of oral cancer. Such counter regulation of Th17 and Tregs may be a significant prognostic factor in oral cancer patients.

Work Culture of Congress Party: Good or Bad?

If we study few recent activity of Congress party, we will find how our politicians or ministers do their duties.
  1. Last year, Manish Tiwari, Congress's spoke person, came to media with a paper that Anna is involved in corruption, and used unconstitutional and irrespective words for Anna ji. Later on, it was found fake. After that Manish Tiwari went in hibernation for few months. But, before coming to media Congress should have worked out for the originality of the report. Anna ji has been awarded the Padma Bhushan—the third-highest civilian award, thus this kind of politically motivated allegations should have been avoided.
  2. Abhishek Manu Singhavi, who was the chairman of Standing Committee for Jan Lokpal bill. Now, nobody knows where is he. He has been exposed in front of camera showing his involvement in sexual activities. But, before this he used to roar like a lion in teaching ethical values to Anna and his team. This is another face of our politicians.
  3. Recently, Aaj Tak, a leading Hindi news channel, showed a report of trust associated with Union Law Minister Salman Khursheed. This trust works (so called) for welfare of disabled people. But, in the report it has been showed how fake names and addresses have been used in its list of benefited people to get funds from government. Government knew this, but even then released fund just because of Salman Khurseed is a congress leader. Salman Khurseed also talks about moral and ethics. Which moral or ethics? You decide it :). He crosses the limit of sycophancy stating that he can give his life for Sonia Gandhi in a matter related to Robert Vadra. Be aware of such kind of dog who can bite to anyone for its feeder.
After reading it, please do not react on the words I have used. Ask questions to your soul.

Who is Responsible for Corruption, Public or Politicians?

During its "Anshan", Anna team used to say that every politicians are corrupt, then it was badly criticized by politicians without setting any moral for reference. If an independent agency investigates against politicians, I believe 90% will be found as corrupt, criminal, or any other activities which are against the law. But, they still have courage to face the public and defend themselves with full confident as they did not do anything. They always try to prove that politicians of other party are in illegal activities, they are not (just only a defamatory act). Actually, the situations are applicable to politicians of every party. In India, there is no true democracy, it is a slave of few political families, and local leaders or party workers are just sycophants of their leaders. Party visions exist only on paper, not at ground level or in leaders' mind.

I am very disappointed by seeing the conditions of our country. And, mostly with the inactivation of people of India, they have become habitual with these conditions. Their inactivity has become the strength of politicians. Politicians value the public as their assets named "vote bank" in the name of caste, religion, regionalism, etc., and they believe that in any conditions public will be with them, they believe because public also reciprocate this. For example, when Raja went to his constituency after bail, he was welcomed by coins equal to his weight. Why was he welcomed like this? Should public do this? These kind of activities are power of politicians like Raja.

Today, Vinod Singh, a minister of UP government, has to resign because he kidnapped and threatened to a CMO, but after this his supporter reached to CMO office and created nuisance. The denial of matters, brought to the CMO, were against the public welfare, in other words CMO's decision is for public, but even then public is supporting minister's act. It is very necessary to educate people and make them aware about their rights and duties for the nation. It is public who decide the fate of our country, public acts should be against these kinds of politicians. If public understand their duties, I must say, there is no need of any Jan Lokpal, or any other such laws.

Please stand for our country. Do not support corrupt politicians, it is our duty to show their face. India is our country, we have to shape it, and we have to save it.

Varun Gandhi should lead Uttar Pradesh BJP

Tags: Varun Gandhi, Samajwadi Party, BSP, BJP, Akhilesh Yadav, Narendra Modi, Mayawati, Congress

After Coal, 2G and 3G, Now It's Time of Congress' JijaG

Now there is another scam before the country, at the moment it is Congress' JijaG's scam. Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan, India Against Corruption activists who turned politicians recently, have exposed Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra. They accused Vadra of increasing his wealth from Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 300 crore in three years by receiving an "unsecured, interest-free loan of Rs. 65 crore" from real estate giant DLF to buy properties at very cheap prices from the same company.

Instead of going for proper investigation, Congress leaders and Union ministers quickly came out in support of Vadra, threatening legal action against the IAC. If Robert Vadra has not done anything wrong, he should go for investigation, and if he gets clean chit, then he should file defamation charge against Arvind Kejriwal. Even so, it is not going to be happened. Union Ministers have started threatening Arvind and his team. It seems everything is not alright. Let us see whether rule of law works or politicians rule over law.

Significance of Arvind Kejriwal's party

Much more is being told about party of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, which is going to be launched officially on 26th November. But, today the vision draft of their party has been issued for the public to discuss with anticipation of their suggestions. As I know, no other party would have been asked this much of question when it was launched. This is good for Arvind and his team because now onward his party will be tested with set parameters which will help improve the party agenda.

Maybe in the coming years Arvind and Manish would be seen as new Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lalkrishna Advani for their party. BJP is not a party of single day, month or year. It took years to bring in the present form. Nothing is too easy, but one has to take challenge and prove his/her thought among public. If it will suit to public, definitely will be appreciated.

It is inevitable that a true and bold step at the time of its execution will be criticized and will be seen with doubt. But, if we go back in history and analyze few such steps we will find a reference for our right deeds to execute. Whenever we talk about electoral reforms in India, one would definitely take name of T. N. Sheshan. The same laws were also present before him, but it was only T. N. Sheshan who show the power of Election Commission. It is only a single example, many more can be discussed. The question is if we have potent law, but still why they are meaningless? Because our politicians do not have will power to apply this.

Team Arvind appears to be potent to fill this gap. They should be welcomed and supported. My best wishes with this team with hope that it will stand alone from this crowed.

India’s silent scientists

As the world celebrates the Higgs part of the God particle, the Bose part of the boson lies largely forgotten. S N Bose is not the only Indian to fade into obscurity. Sunday Times looks at three others, who made outstanding contributions to science, but never got their due.

Lalji Singh

Last week’s discovery of a particle which could most likely be Higgs boson may not change the way you play golf, but it may let you understand better the creation of the universe, its minuscule components and its all-pervading vastness. And, if you have an abiding interest in the interface of science and everyday life, it may as well tell you why you missed the 18th hole.

So, it wasn’t surprising that some 8,000 scientists and students from 60 countries were peering at a maze of mathematical projections at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (Cern) near Geneva to catch a glimpse of what they hate to call the God particle. As millions of protons travelled almost at the speed of light through a 27 km circular tunnel 100 metres below the Franco-Swiss border last week, the world held its breath. But, the scientists wouldn’t say if they have found it. Finally, on June 3, there was a give away: Peter Higgs, the English theoretical physicist who predicted the existence such a particle in the early 1960s was invited to a conference near Geneva, where the announcement was to be made the next day.

Satyendra Bose

We know the Higgs part of the elusive particle, but the Bose part of it remains in relative obscurity. Boson, one of the two fundamental subatomic components of particle physics — the other being fermion — was named after Indian physicist Satyendra Nath Bose (1894-1974). Bose, who worked with Albert Einstein to come up with the Bose-Einstein statistics and the Bose-Einstein condensate theory, was never nominated for the Nobel. In fact, it was out of Einstein’s personal interest in Bose’s work that saw much of his work being noted, after Bose sent his papers to Einstein who translated them into German and got them published in scientific journals.

Thanks to a few media reports on Bose in the wake of the Higgs boson discovery, the great man is being introduced to a vast number of Indians 38 years after his death. But, there are several Indian scientists, great in their own ways, who remain unknown to the layman and ignored by the scientific fraternity and the governments.

E Premkumar Reddy

Ask any scientist who acknowledges original research to give a list of Indians who should have got a Nobel Prize, and you will find the name G N Ramachandran (1922- 2001) there. Though trained as a physicist, Ramachandran’s greatest contributions were to biology, where he formulated the ‘Ramachandran plots’ which every biophysicist uses while studying proteins. His triplehelix structure of collagen is a classic discovery worth a Nobel. ‘History of Science, Philosophy and Culture in Indian Civilization’ says Ramachandran’s lesser known contribution was to three-dimensional image reconstruction, which redefined the way we look inside the human body without cutting it open. Some, like P M Bhargava, founder director of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, believe Ramachandran should be considered the father of NMR and CT scan, though some others took credit for it. “Ramachandran was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society after some of us worked hard for it. He never asked for it,” says Bhargava. “He was neither elected as a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of the US, nor nominated for a Nobel Prize which he richly deserved.”

Ramachandran died in 2001 without much international recognition; several other silently continue to do path-breaking research, refusing to blow their own trumpets. E Premkumar Reddy, for one. Now the director of
experimental cancer therapeutics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, Reddy has made seminal discoveries of oncogenes that gave a clear understanding of the molecular basis of cancer. Though he has lived and worked for more than 40 years in the US, he was never elected to the National Academy of Sciences, the hall of scientific fame in the US. Recognition may come to him as a cancer drug that took shape from his research goes into phase III trials.

Reddy, like several other silent toilers of science, says he has no regrets, though he believes that some scientists get ahead through PR. “Becoming a member of National Academy not only requires a major
contribution to science, but also a certain amount of lobbying. I did not care to spend my time lobbying since I felt I could use my time and energy for a better cause,” he says.

Lobbyism prevails because there is a lack of objective assessment of scientific work in India, feels Lalji Singh, who developed a new technique of DNA fingerprinting which has applications in forensics, parent determination and even resurrection of extinct species. Singh, 65, who served as the director of CCMB, Hyderabad, is now the vice-chancellor of Banaras Hindu University. One of Singh’s works became the only research from an Indian lab to make it to the cover of ‘Nature’ magazine in October 2010. Singh was never nominated for the Fellowship of Royal Society. Bhargava feels the Padma Shri that Singh got was far too little for his genius.

So, what is wrong with the system? “The problem is,” says Singh, “that the system doesn’t work.” C N R Rao, head of the scientific advisory council to the Prime Minister, feels it is better sometimes that the government does nothing. “Just keep quiet and let scientists do their work, that’s enough,” says Rao, who feels the government has no clear-cut policy to promote science and scientists in India.

How Indian Team Narrowly missed Nobel Prize in Medicine?

An Indian researcher at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) in Hyderabad believes that he and members of his former group “narrowly missed” this year’s Nobel Prize for medicine.

The Prize, announced on Monday at Stockholm, s shared by Americans Andrew Fire and Craig Mello for their discovery of silencing genes by a method known as “RNA inference” or RNAi. The technique has opened new paths to treating and even preventing a disease by switching off the gene responsible for it by introducing small strands of custommade RNA molecules.

Utpal Bhadra, a CCMB scientist, said his group – which included his wife Monika and James Birchler at the University of Missouri in the US – was one of the first to work on gene silencing but narrowly missed the Nobel race.

Bhadra said that while working at the University of Missouri his group showed how to silence genes in fruit flies for the first time. He joined the CCMB in 2001.

“We made the discovery by accident,” Bhadra said in a telephonic interview, adding that the finding laid one of the foundations for RNAi. They published their findings in 1997 in cell, a prestigious journal. Fire and Mello, selected for this year’s Nobel Prize, demonstrated gene silencing in nematode worms called ‘C.elegans’. They pushed their findings in 1998, a year after the publication by Bhadra’s team. “I think Bhadra’s team missed it narrowly,” CCMB director Lalji Singh said. Fire has himself acknowledged the Bhadra group’s contribution in a message that says: “While we got the Nobel Prize, there are a lot of giant discoveries and you are part of that.”

Bhadra said his group was initially in the panel under consideration by the Nobel committee but was eventually dropped “as there were too many players”. While claiming it was delighted that this year’s Nobel gave recognition to the field of research he and his wife – both Well-come Trust Fellows – are working on. While he is working on how to use the gene silencing technique to prevent AIDS and Japanese encephalitis, his wife Monika at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, also in Hyderabad, is focussing on using this method to prevent cancer. Bhadra’s group has used this technique, with funding from the Silk Board, to create transgenic silkworms resistant to viral diseases. Lalji Singh said that Bhadra’s work on HIV and other viral diseases would speed up once his institute completes construction of the special containment facility for handling infectious organisms in the next two months.
